A place by which to measure time and, Lord willing, growth

Back in January, I bought and set up the domain for a new blog, deciding that the prestigious First Post would be on the poetic difficulty & indecision of naming an unwritten work.

People who liked those books, may have a positive view of mine, or at least a curiosity to check it out

I’m not sure I want people to buy my book because they confused it with another one. I would hope the back cover description caught their attention, and the novel itself kept them reading.

Abby Style may sound like a simple name, but it started when I was just a little girl

Keywords: blogname , fashion , new , style

When I was about elementary school-aged, I started drawing fashion designs just for the fun of it! So my love for fashion started at a young age. Eventually, I made so many designs that I decided to make a name for my little fashion line. That is how Abby Style was born.

In titling my own work, words with the depth of meaning I seek are sometimes elusive — art often expresses things that language does awkwardly or inadequately

Thanks to my artist friends for their contributions. Your opinions on the topic are welcome, whether you are someone who makes art or simply enjoys the art others create.

Axis & Atlas

The motif of the axis and atlas is all about perspective and connection. In the human body, the axis and atlas are bones at the top of the spine that directly control movements of the head. They allow us to move in order to see the world around ourselves rather than seeing only what is directly in front of us. They widen our view of our surroundings and allow us to choose the direction we want to go. They are both internal and external by mechanically functioning inside of our bodies and allowing us to see opportunities to connect with our surroundings. Dance allows us to explore, experience, and connect as illustrated by the axis and atlas in many ways and in any style or discipline. With this motif we learn about ourselves and about our larger world.

Samantha Henthorn Finds The Right Words

Hello from Bury on this Thursday afternoon. Now that serialising Curmudgeon Avenue has come to an end, I have been asking if anyone would like to guest post on my blog to talk about character and title names. And to illustrate bits of book number two of Curmudgeon Avenue The Harold and Edith Adventures I cannot contain myself about the talented folks who have already said yes.

Illustrations coming soon from Lyndsey Prince at https://ellepeablog.wordpress.com/

FARAH PINKLADY

Hello lovelies…

Recently, I have thought about changing my blog name a.k.a my blog domain name into something else. This is because I usually get confused by the name ‘pinklady’ is known as a supplement brand in Malaysia which I swear I’m not related to and I don’t have any share on that company.

But, I still haven’t come up with any new name for my blog yet.

Any idea, girls?

Please help me by writing your idea at the comment box below.

Your idea is much appreciated.

Thank you, girls 😉
